Finally, The Walking Dead Monopoly

If you love Monopoly, chances are you enjoy brawls and violence in general. Because everyone knows Monopoly games are the number one cause of fights among family and friends. 🙂

If you like things a bit bloody, you probably also like the zombie series “The Walking Dead”. And if you like both, your secret dream is this: The Walking Dead Monopoly.

The Walking Dead Monopoly

That’s right, your dream has come true! Some twisted mind had the bright idea of combining one of the most violent board games with one of the best-loved horror series. And that twisted mind hit the jackpot, creating The Walking Dead Monopoly.

The game itself is more or less the same old Monopoly; they certainly didn’t invent anything new. But come on, imagine playing on a board with fantastic artwork, zombies on one half and The Walking Dead characters (the comic version, mind you) on the other!

And don’t get me started on the tokens. Besides being made of metal, they’re seriously cool! There are:

  • Michonne’s katana
  • Negan’s bat
  • Rick’s hat
  • A bucket with a hand and a foot sticking out
  • The camper van (I think)
  • And a really lame telephone, which will surely end up with whoever is slowest to grab a token.

Obviously my token will be the bucket with the hand and foot.

The artwork is stunning (except for the little man who sends you to jail, who is the same as in the original Monopoly), the board is sturdy and all the property names have been changed to names from the comic, such as “Downtown Atlanta” or “Rick’s Neighborhood”.

The only drawback (for some) is that the game is only in English. Not that there’s much to understand, but if you don’t know the language well it might be less fun having to check a dictionary at every move.

OK, but where can I buy it?

In short, English or not, this Walking Dead Monopoly is awesome. Here’s a link where you can find it. Prices have dropped a bit compared to a while ago and are fairly affordable. If you really can’t afford it, at least get someone to give it to you as a present!
