In July 2015 in Voronezh, Russia, a 23-year-old punk musician, Aleksandr U., killed and beheaded his girlfriend Viktoria V., 22, who wanted to leave him. Declared insane, he was not tried but committed to psychiatric care.
The news dates back to July 2015, but it was only made public months later. Aleksandr U. loved dressing as a woman and, when his girlfriend found out, she decided to leave him. He wouldn’t accept it and killed her.
The discovery
Aleksandr U., whose surname cannot be published under Russian law, was a 23-year-old living in the Russian city of Voronezh. He played in the punk rock band “Easy Riders” under a vulgar stage name, and he didn’t choose it by chance: he loved dressing up and putting on make-up as a woman, using his girlfriend’s clothes.

When the other band members found out, they kicked him out of the group, although at first they said it was because of a drug problem.
One day, while wearing women’s clothes and make-up, he was also caught by his girlfriend, Viktoria V., who was 22.
The murder
It was a shock for her and she decided to leave him. He wouldn’t accept it: he killed her and cut off her head.
Police first found the girl’s headless body and then her head, which Aleksandr had desecrated with sexual acts while wearing one of her dresses.
Psychiatric evaluations found that Aleksandr was legally insane. For this reason he was not tried, but was committed for treatment to a psychiatric hospital.
